Oliver Weiken

Oliver Weiken was born in 1983 in Germany. At the age of 16 he started as a freelance photographer for Bongarts Sportfotografie in Germany and was later hired as a staffer. He then worked for dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur until he joined epa in 2005.

Oliver has been based in Paris, Berlin, and Bejing until he relocated to Tel Aviv in early 2010 from where he is covering news events in Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Furthermore he has covered EU and G8 Summits, major international sporting events, and the earthquake in China.
