Stephen Morrison first started taking photos professionally in 1990, back home in Canada. He joined epa in 2003 to head its East Africa operation after freelancing in Europe and South Africa.
In 2008, he won third prize in World Press Photo's spot news singles category for a picture showing Kenyan policemen chasing opposition protesters who were looting a shop in Nairobi's Kibera slum. Stephen moved to epa's Singapore bureau in 2010.
