Ahmad Yusni was born in 1968. He started his career as news photographer for the Malaysian local newspaper The Sun and later served as a stringer for AFP.
In 2003 Ahmad joined epa. Since then he has been covering such events as the 2004 tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia, the Bangkok Airport Siege in 2008, Bangkok's Red Shirt Protest, the Beijing Olympics, and the FIFA World Cup Soccer in South Africa.
