Living with Autism in Hungary

Photographer: Peter Komka

The tenth Autism-Europe International Congress is held in Budapest, Hungary, from 26 to 28 September 2013. The congress held in every three years is organized by the international association Autism-Europe celebrating the 30th anniversary of its founding this year.

The feature package offers an insight of the lives of people suffering from autism, a pervasive developmental disorder of the brain functions preventing a person from organising and understanding information. The symptoms are deficits in social reciprocal interaction, in verbal and non-verbal communication and imagination and in limited range of activities and interests.
