FINA Swimming World Championships
The 16th FINA World Championships took place from 24 July - 09 August 2015 in Kazan, Russia. They were organised by the Swiss-based Fédération Internationale de Natation ("International Swimming Federation" - FINA) and have been held on a biannual basis since 2001.
For the first time since its introduction in 1973 the World Aquatics Championships were hosted by China. A total of 190 countries and regions have confirmed their participation with over 5.500 FINA-accredited athletes, coaches and officials.
