Auchan
Portraits and photo reportages to illustrate the "Auchan & Moi" campaign for internet and social networks, in collaboration with Babel agency and Interlinks.






DER SPIEGEL
High profile German news weekly Der Spiegel commissioned top class epa photographer Roman Pilipey based in Beijing. The brief was for a photo reportage in Kashgar in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. The coverage was also centred on a religious celebration at the end of Ramadan, and daily life in Kashgar. Here you see the magazine feature along with some images from the assignment.






EU European Union | Algerian Fishnet Mending
The EU brief requested that epa covers the valuable work the EU has done to support the diversification of the fisheries sector in Algeria. We were were asked to document the daily life of the women of Cherchell, who had all benefited from various support projects, funded by the EU. The aim was to portray the positive effects of the EU funding in the daily operation of the fishery, including the activity of fish net mending. The images were for use in EU campaigns to communicate the initiatives of EU funding which can also be found at euneighbours.eu.

EU European Union | Artisan Woodworkers
The brief requested that epa illustrates the EU funded PSDP programme and the various artisans going about their day to day work. It was important to clearly illustrate the daily activities and general mood at Minjara, a shared platform for carpentry businesses. Once again epa was tasked with documenting the EU's initiatives and projects to communicate concisely the positive contribution the EU makes to hard hit countries that suffer as a result of economic crisis. It can also be found at euneighbours.eu.

EU European Union | Green Day
The EU Green Day, which was organised at the Beirut Hippodrome by the European Union (EU) in partnership with several NGOs working to protect and defend the environment in Lebanon. epa was commissioned to cover the event and to document outdoor children's activities. The purpose of the event was to help children discover the various aspects of nature and to learn to protect the environment through sports and educational games. The brief required epa to capture the various activities, with a creative angle, communicating the atmosphere and general mood of the event. It was also important for epa to illustrate the work of the EU and the various aspects of the programme on the day which can also be found at euneighbours.eu.

Photo reportage to illustrate a GRDF internal presentation, in collaboration with Epoka agency and Interlinks.



Save the Children
Save the Children organised a reception at the Conservative Party Conference during which there were speeches by politicians and Save the Children staff. The brief requested that the main moments of the reception were captured, including the people speaking at the reception, people in general attendance, illustrating the atmosphere of the event. The purpose of the coverage was for Save the Children campaigns and initiatives to increase future engagement with conservative audiences and parliamentary stakeholders.

Photo reportages to illustrate articles of Total internal magazine 'Totem', in collaboration with Babel agency and Interlinks.












WHO World Health Organization
Action photography covering WHO's people at work, illustrating relevant technical health topics. Public health-oriented images in Malaysia, in coordination with the Country Office in Malaysia and Malaysia's Ministry of Health - covering a variety of subject areas. WHO requested a collection of high-quality photographs depicting WHO's work across its core programme areas that reflect the impact, change and improvements in peoples' lives and/or cooperation area between WHO and several parties/entities in the Pacific. The images were for use in WHO communication campaigns on social media and other communication channels.
