Adi Weda studied Marine Biology at Christian University of Satya Wacana in Central Java but later decided to quit his job as a quality controller and turned his hobby into a profession to become a photographer.
He started as a photojournalist working for Agence France Presse (AFP) from 1999 to 2003 based in Jakarta, Indonesia, and moved to East Timor for two years during the conflict between East Timor and Indonesia.
In 2003, Weda started for epa as staff and chief photographer based in Jakarta. Weda covers the full range of topics, from the ground as well as occasionally with aerial views.
