for immediate start.
epa was founded by seven major photo agencies and started on January 1, 1985. In 2003, epa went global. Today's epa picture service is based both on its global network of award-winning photographers and on the daily production of its member agencies. epa has set high standards in the industry and provides visual information of the very best quality from all corners of the world, 24 hours around the clock, comprising politics, general news, a large variety of sports, economy, business and finance, arts, culture and entertainment.
The applicant will be in charge of selling into the editorial and commercial markets, building and maintaining relationships with media clients, agencies and institutions.
Applicants should have:
- Sales Experience
- Affinity with media, journalism and current affairs
- Knowledge of the media environment in the MENA region
- Good negotiation skills
- Proficiency in English is a must, as well as fluency in Arabic (verbal and written)
We are looking for a service-orientated, self-motivated, target driven and flexible person who has a keen perception, a good level of organization, an entrepreneurial spirit and who is a team worker.
He/she should be willing to travel and to visit potential news industry clients, traditional and new media with the aim of increasing revenue streams.
He/she should explore and identify new business opportunities in the MENA region.
The position is full time (40 hours/week). Applicants should be prepared to work irregular hours. Experience in an international, multi-cultural environment is an advantage.
