Ahmed Jallanzo was born in Liberia. He studied Communication & Sociology at the University of Liberia before discovering street photography. He subsequently worked as a photographer and consultant at the UNICEF Liberia Office, contributed to IAFRICA, Africa Media online and worked as a fixer during the Liberian crisis and the Ebola outbreak.
Ahmed started working for european pressphoto agency as a stringer in 2003 and came onboard as a staff photographer in 2015. After participating in a World Press Photo program for African journalists, he provided official coverage for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was awarded Best Photographer of the Year 2013 by the Press Union of Liberia (PUL).
