Japanese national Dai Kurokawa grew up in Canada as a teenager until he returned to Japan at the age of 24. He joined epa's Tokyo bureau in 2007 after having worked as a freelance photojournalist in South East Asia.
Dai had been reassigned to Kenya to head epa's East Africa operation for ten years from 2010. In May 2020 he returned to Japan where he enforces our Japanese team of photographers. He has covered politics, sports, feature, business, entertainment and social issues.
