A native from Annecy, France, Jerome has been living and shooting in Asia for about two decades.
After studying photography in Lyon, Jérôme moved to Taiwan as a freelance photographer where he worked for a local English daily and also shot regularly for the Associated Press and many international publications.
He covered a wide range of events such as presidential campaigns and elections, the months long riots and protests that followed the 2004 Taiwan presidential election, several plane crashes, the deadly Sept. 21, 1999 earthquake, the 2003 SARS outbreak and countless typhoons and natural disasters.
After relocating to Hong Kong in 2007, Jérôme expanded his list of clients to include Bloomberg and epa among others.
He also developed an interest in corporate photography resulting in an interesting mix of assignments ranging from reportage to corporate and event photography.
Jérôme joined epa as a staff photographer in 2015.
