Jim Lo Scalzo joined epa in 2010 after 16 years shooting for the news magazine US News & World Report. He has had assignments in more than 60 countries, won numerous Pictures of the Year International Awards, and is the author of the memoir Evidence of My Existence.
When not photographing, he loves to teach, to cook, to travel. He has a master's degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and two children.
