Justin Lane has been epa's New York Bureau Chief since 2006.
Before, he photographed for Time, Newsweek, Business Week, and other major magazines and newspapers around the world. For the New York Times Justin became a full-time freelancer in Washington, DC, and then in New York in 2001. That year he spent a great deal of time covering the aftermath of the September 11 attacks for which he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his contribution and the Overseas Press Club Award of Excellence.
After having covered Iraq he returned to New York, where he joined epa.
