FINA Swimming World Championships
The 18th FINA World Championships took place from 12 - 28 July 2019 in Gwangju, South Korea. They are organised by the Swiss-based Fédération Internationale de Natation ("International Swimming Federation" - FINA) and have been held on a biannual basis since 2001.
The 2019 World Aquatics Championships were hosted in the same venues as the aquatics events of the 2015 Summer Universiade. A total of 194 countries and regions had confirmed their participation with over 2.600 athletes competing in various competitions supported by their coaches and officials.
